Rifat!..

I do not clearly remember if seven or eight years have passed , or we left ten years but the only thing that I remembered is that Rifat entered into our Picture cosmos very much brightly with his an exhibition those years ago and he was mentioned with approval, highly for a while. But later we did not often hear his name, fame for a very long time; we could not know much where and what he did... Then we can say that his star shone again in 2002-2003 seasons. Also in the noisy environment with loud and continued noise. Such that an exhibition was opened in the Piano and Art Gallery of Girgin in depths of Hüsrev Gerede and Beşiktaş, I rushed for what and what kind of it is. Leave my rushing, Duygu Uğur, who has quite feeling ability, is the owner of Art House of Ares, also came from far Fenerbahçe as passing the roads not to deprive himself from this exhibition. Yes, Rifat is one of the people who were born with the artist instinct in my opinion. Have I ever mentioned about his education? No, because I do not know and I think it is not much important. Take one of his pictures, analyze its composition, colour, use of brush, expression, more what ever crosses your mind, you will see that all values are in their places, in a perfect harmony until the light shadow balance. He follows a measured but free expression; his colurs are never hyperbolic, either, opposite of it, a naturalnes, plainness are mentioned. Moreover, without loosing his intimacy... All right, what do you say what he tells? They are not unusual things definitely, you, me, ordinary indentities and usual situations... In a word, I can say the ones that reflect from daily life, simple, do not follow very big expressions but the pictorial criterions are always in their places...

My opinion is that, Rıfat is Rifat's competitor again... Just sol let he not delay his work, or not be far to his spectators, time will work in favor of him, I do not have any doubt.
